Workshop 3A: Saturday, October 29 ~ 3:30 pm to 6:00 pm
Malidoma Some and Francesca Mason Boring together will hold a Healing Circle and Community Constellation for those impacted by the trans-generational stress, historical trauma and the phenomena of ‘American amnesia’. After a brief introduction, the collective wisdom of the group will be invited through a Talking Circle of representatives. Francesca, in consultation with Malidoma, will facilitate a Community Constellation based upon the observations of the group. Malidoma will lead the closing of the circle with a group ritual.
By examining the field of “facilitators,” Francesca and Malidoma will support the ability of participants to quietly look directly at issues which impact the populations that they serve, as well as, their own family fields. As people of the US, our collective field holds the wounds from genocide, sexism and racism along with the gifts of courage, perseverance and expansion. With all of our ancestors included and honored, Constellation facilitators, students and participants, will have a unique opportunity to find the path toward acknowledging all of what is true in our history and claim what is ours to do in our collective present.
